We're well into it

While waiting in Copenhagen for everyone to arrive, those of us who were already there were busy sightseeing. The weather was so awfully cold and windy that some were seen shopping for warmer jackets. However, Steve and Sue Wines were brave enough to hire push bikes to go round and see the sights. Hats off to them!

By Friday evening we finally had the whole group together. Most of us went to the famous Tivoli Gardens that night. There we met up with Steve Pickering and his family whom Nola and Ken Tyson knew from Steve's Shelterbox visit to Australia.
Unfortunately, there was a lot happening at the Tivoli that night and we had great difficulty finding somewhere to sit all together. We had lots of fun and laughter together but soon had to make our way to the exit again as we all needed to go back to the hotel to get packed for the start of our adventure the next morning.
Getting through the crowds and out the front gate where hordes were still queueing to come inside was easier said than done.

  1. Glad to know that everything is going well and that we are tracking you with the blog.
Sorry to hear that the weather has been cold over there but if it is any consolation it is cold over here as well.
Had a very successful RAWCS meeting yesterday by teleconference - should set the base for may similar meetings.
Continue to have fun and let us know what you are doing.
    Ken
